By having Copilot integrated into Microsoft applications, it will have access to extensive user specific information to learn from. As it gets to know you better, Copilot will refine its suggestions, ensuring that its assistance aligns perfectly with your unique style and needs. This personalized touch distinguishes Copilot from other productivity tools, making it a true companion rather than just a software application.
  • Privacy and Security at the Core: While AI tools have quickly become popular, many organizations have halted their use. Why? Data privacy. Who has access to the queries users enter into online AI tools? That question is a concern for businesses. However, Microsoft 365 Copilot is built with advanced security measures to ensure that your sensitive data remains protected. Microsoft has always prioritized privacy and security, and Copilot is no exception. How to prepare for it

While waiting for Microsoft 365 Copilot to become available, there are steps you can take now to ensure a seamless transition and maximize the benefits of Copilot. Here are a few steps we suggest:

  1. Start using the cloud version of applications rather than the desktop version. Alternatively, if working in the desktop apps, ensure your syncing to SharePoint and turn on AutoSave. This will enable the collection of data for Copilot to train on.
  2. Consolidate your toolset. During the pandemic, many businesses experienced toolset sprawl as they adopted new tools to support their evolving needs. With AI coming, now is the time to simplify and consolidate your technology stack. This will optimize your costs and enable you to get the most out of AI tools.
  3. Embrace a robust data governance strategy aligned with Microsoft 365 best practices and perform a structural diagnostic of your Microsoft 365 environment.
